December Newsletter from 2008 Officers

 

Gentlemen,

 

As incoming officers for 2008 we would like to thank the outgoing officers for a successful 2007 year. We hope everyone had a good year at the “Valley” and our goal is to hopefully make it even better for 2008.

 

We are posting ’08 tournaments on our website and would like everyone to participate when possible. Despite the drought conditions, the MVGA personnel have kept the course in great condition. Please acknowledge your thanks when you see them. We still need some help on repairing ball marks on the greens. We ask that you repair yours and then one more.

 

As you know one of our members (Marco Dawson) has been paralyzed from an on the job accident. We are proud to announce that through the generosity of our members and proceeds from the December tournament, Marco will receive $1100 from the association.

 

The December tournament was a success despite the incoming rain which we need desperately. The rain came in around 1130am but our Pro (John Crumbly) managed to post a 75. Only 10 players beat him out of 40 for the tournament with their handicaps. Results will be posted soon on our website.
